Close to 500 customers in Danville without power Saturday morning

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) Close to 500 people in Danville were without power Saturday morning according to Danville Public Information Officer Arnold Hendrix.

Power was restored after 10 a.m.

The power outage affected customers off Mount Cross Road in the Brush Arbor Court area. The outage was caused by a tree over a power line.

Danville Utilities planned to restore power by noon. Danville Utilities needed to remove the tree on the power line and replace a transformer. The repair required taking another feeder out of service which was supposed to affect another 663 customers in the Mount Cross Road area.
