Couple overdose in car with 5-week-old baby in the back

HUNTINGTON W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man and woman were found unresponsive and unconscious Saturday night in the front seats of their car. A 5-week-old baby was sitting in the back alone.

According to court documents, Putnam County EMS was on 5th Avenue in Huntington when they were flagged down by citizens. EMS pulled up to the scene of what they thought was a car crash.

EMS said both Taylor Coburn and Trent Coburn were found unconscious and unresponsive. The court documents say when they opened the vehicle, they found a 5-week-old child in the back seat of the Sedan.

NARCAN was administered to both and were revived.

EMS said they found that the car was in neutral with the keys in the ignition and it was running. They report it had just rolled to a stop.

Taylor Coburn faces a felony charge of child neglect. Trent Coburn, the suspected driver, is charged with felony child neglect and misdemeanor DUI.

Both were taken to Western Regional Jail where Taylor Coburn is in on a $50,000 cash only bond and Trent Coburn is in on a $55,000 cash only bond.
