Coworking pop-up in Danville this week

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) Danville entrepreneurs and freelancers will soon be able to rent work space, without committing to a full lease.

River City Coworking is in downtown Danville this week to give people a taste of what it would be like.

Anyone that works from home, but wants their own space can rent just a seat at a table, a desk, or their own office.

The company says it's a good bridge between working at home, and having to rent your own building.

"It's a good alternative for, 'Hey let's meet at Starbucks or XYZ coffee shop. It gives you that professional touch," says River City Coworking Co-Founder, Lenny Keesee.

This week is a pop-up event at 312 Main Street Suite 200. They are open Monday-Thursday 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

It's free to anyone that wants to come.

The end goal is to get enough people interested in coworking to rent a building and make it a full-time option.
