Danville Firefighters deal with burning duplex

The Danville Fire Department was called to a reported structure fire at 374 Chatelaine Avenue around 8 p.m. Saturday night.

Arriving units found a duplex on fire near the back of the building.

Firefighters made their way inside and quickly brought the fire under control.

The duplex was unoccupied at the time. No one was hurt.

The Red Cross assisted with temporary shelter for one person. Two other occupants of the adjoining building were displaced and are staying with family.

The Danville Life Saving Crew and the Danville Police Department were at the scene assisting as well.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
