Danville Police investigating armed robbery at local restaurant

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Danville Police are searching for three men for their role in a robbery of a local restaurant.

Police say they responded to a call of a robbery at approximately 1:49 p.m. Tuesday at The Grill at 116 Watson Street.

Once on-scene, officers were advised that three black males wearing masks had entered the business and demanded money. One of the men were described as brandishing a handgun that was discharged during the robbery.

No one was hurt by the weapon discharged or during the robbery.

Police say the men took an undisclosed amount of money from the register and fled the business on foot.
