DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) In Danville, more children now have access to the science center.
It's part of a nationwide program called Museums For All.
Low income families can now use their EBT cards at the Danville Science Center.
Leaders say this program will give all children the opportunity to engage in fun and enjoyable learning.
"I think there is definitely a need with our community. I think we all understand the economic situation of Southside Virginia. And this is just one of the many ways that we feel like we can give back to our community as a community resource and make it more accessible individuals of all walks of life," Executive Director Adam Goebel said.
Families will only have to pay $1 for children and $2 for adults to see the gallery.
