Danville crews contain house fire on Ferry Road

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- No one was hurt after a fire broke out at a Danville home Friday morning.

It happened just after 11:00 a.m., in the 600 block of Ferry Road.

When crews arrived on scene they found light smoke coming out of the windows in the front of the one-story home.

They were able to put out the fire in about 15 minutes.

No one was inside the house at the time.

The bedroom sustained moderate fire damage, while the rest f the house had smoke and heat damage.

The Fire Marshal's Office said the cause is undetermined at this time.
