DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) A Danville man is in jail facing robbery charges in two separate incidents this month.

Shortly before midnight Thursday night, the clerk at the Pit Stop Mart on Piney Forest Road reported that she was robbed at gunpoint. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene on foot.

A K-9 track by the Pittsylvania County Sheriff’s Office led police to an apartment at Hunter’s Run Apartments on Crosland Avenue. They had a search warrant for the apartment, and the suspect was found inside along with evidence of the robbery.

Malik Keith Hogan, age 26, of Danville was charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Hogan was also charged with an armed robbery at the same location earlier this month.

Hogan is currently being held in the Danville City Jail under no bond.
