SEMINOLE, Ok. (CNN)-- An Oklahoma family had to give their dog, Cathleen, up after moving to a new home. Cathleen was placed in a temporary home about 20 miles away from the family.
Cathleen missed her family so much that she walked back to her hometown looking for them.
Not only did Cathleen make this trip once, but she walked 20 miles twice!
The dog is now at an animal shelter closer to her previous home until she can find a forever-home.
"She's very sweet. Very calm and docile. Friendly. She wants to be everyone's friend. She's a love bug. Give her a chance. She may seem shy at first but will open up to you definitely," Animal Control Officer Lynzi Thompson said.
The shelter says it's currently sorting through many applications from families who are interested in adopting her.
