LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7)— According to the Lynchburg Police Department, students and faculty at E.C. Glass High School were placed on lockdown Friday because of a threat over the phone about the possibility of an active shooter at E.C. Glass.
Officers on scene were about the identify two students who were responsible for the threats, police said. Police discovered the call was a hoax and there was no immediate threat to the school.
Police said the lockdown was lifted at 1:16 p.m. Friday.
Lynchburg police said they are still investigating.
