Early morning fire destroys outbuilding in Danville

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) A large outbuilding in Danville was destroyed in a fire early Thursday morning.

Firefighters responded to the fire on the 600 block of Edmonds Street around 1:15 a.m. At that point, the fire had already consumed 95 percent of the building.

The fire was under control within 25 minutes, but the 1,200 sq. ft. building is a total loss. A vehicle, yard equipment and other stored items were also destroyed.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
