Early morning robbery in Roanoke

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) Investigators are asking for any information on a robbery that happened early this morning around 12:30 a.m. in Roanoke at 1400 Hershberger Road NW, near Cookout.

A 55-year old woman from Roanoke was sitting in her car, waiting for family members to come out of Cookout, when the suspect approached her vehicle.

The suspect pointed what appeared to be a revolver at the woman and demanded money. They got away with the victims wallet and fled the scene in a white or light blue color sedan.

There were no injuries.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late 40's to early 50's. He is between 5'8" and 5'10" wearing a light colored hat and fleece jacket.

Witnesses say the sedan was also occupied by a white female.

No arrest have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
