LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ7) Rain made them postpone Earth Day celebrations in Lexington last April.
So the central lawn at Hopkins Green will host Earth Day this Saturday, with a birding adventure, a working solar panel, park rangers, music, and lots of kids' activities.
"We have a lot of kid events. It's very kid oriented, because of the movie when it gets dark and then the children's activities," says Bridget Kelley-Dearing, of the Environment Committee of 50 Ways Rockbridge
Everything starts at 4:30 pm, and runs through a showing of "The Lorax" in the park at 8:30.
