UPDATE: Man identified in fatal accident at Lynchburg company

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Lynchburg Police have identified the man who died in an industrial accident Wednesday.

James Horsley, 56, was trapped by falling scrap metal at Griffin Pipe Products. Lynchburg Fire Department Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The victim was brought to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Roanoke to determine the cause of death. No foul play is suspected.

Lynchburg police say there was a deadly industrial accident at Griffin Pipe Products on Wednesday night.

The accident happened around 9 p.m.

No foul play is suspected.

Police have not released the victim's name at this time. They are waiting until the next of kin have been notified.
