ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ7) The fight over the proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline continued in court Friday.
A federal judge heard arguments this morning from the company behind the project. They are suing for access to the property of 300 local landowners.
Some of the landowners held a prayer meeting at Green Memorial United Methodist Church before the hearing.
They say they will continue to push back against the plans.
"It's the only thing we have left to do. We need to send a message however we can to our Congressmen, our delegates, that this is wrong," Franklin County Landowner David Werner said.
As proposed, the pipeline would go through several hometowns in Giles, Roanoke and Franklin counties.
