RADFORD, Va. (WDBJ7) One of the fraternities suspended by Radford University for allegations that a goat was mistreated acknowledged in a statement Tuesday that there was an off-campus incident with a goat.

The statement was posted on the Pi Lambda Phi Facebook page, saying that some members of the fraternity posed for pictures with the goat Saturday.

The fraternity said the goat was not harmed or mistreated. The fraternity says they tried to help police locate the animal and owner, but were unable to do so.

Pi Lambda Phi, Delta Chi, Sigma Pi, and Alpha Sigma Phi were all suspended by Radford University on Monday following allegations that the goat was mistreated.
