The Greenbrier Classic cancelled due to flooding in West Virginia

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla (WDBJ7) The Greenbrier Classic scheduled for July 7th-10th has been cancelled due to flooding in West Virginia.

Greenbrier County was one of the hardest hit areas when storms rolled through the region this week.

Officials said the Old White TPC course was damaged beyond reasonable repair to conduct the tournament. 

The Greenbrier Classic started back in 2010 through a six year agreement with the resort. Two years later, The Greenbrier signed an extension to host the tournament through 2021.
