Henry County Sheriff's Office investigating threat at Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School

COLLINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7)-- UPDATE:
According to Monica Adams Hatchett, the Public Information Officer for Henry County Public Schools, students have been taken to their "designated reunification site" at this time.

Hatchett says students will be provided lunch when they arrive. Students will later be taken home by bus in the afternoon.

Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School says that anyone wishing to pick up their student can anticipate long wait periods.

According to Hatchett, any parent who wishes to sign their student out of school must be on an approved list and present their driver's license.

According to Monica Adams Hatchett, the Public Information Officer for Henry County Public Schools, the Henry County Sheriff's Office is investigating a threat to Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School Wednesday.

Hatchett says students have been placed on buses while deputies investigate.

Parents of students at Fieldale-Collinsville Middle School have been called about the incident.

According to Hatchett, the school system is prepared to move students if necessary. She says parents will be notified if students are moved.
