Hokie Stone leggings created by Virginia Tech student, benefiting Relay for Life

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Hokies can now wear their favorite stone and help out a good cause. Hokie Stone leggings were created by a Virginia Tech Senior.

Ty Morris says he thought of the idea after seeing fans wear Hokie Stone print shirts at football games. The design comes from the limestone that covers many buildings on campus and gives the university its unique looks.

"We're trying to partner with VT Relay For Life so we can get incorporated so all the teams wearing their different shirts can pair them with these leggings to show that not only are they on a separate team supporting their cause but all the Hokies are united together to support one community, Hokie Nation," Morris said.

Part of the sales goes to the Virginia Tech Relay for Life that kicks off Friday at 5 p.m. The event has raised $400,000 of its $500,000 goal.

If you're interested in buying a pair, email Morris at limestoneleggings@gmail.com. They're $30 for the full yoga style and $25 for the Capri yoga style
