Christmas home tours happening in Bedford this Sunday

BEDFORD, Va. (WDBJ7) In Bedford County, a Christmas tour of historic homes will take place this weekend.

The Bedford Council of Garden Clubs is sponsoring their 22nd tour this year. Each of the clubs that belong to the council will go into five different historic homes in Bedford and decorate them for the holiday season. They will create unique displays in some of Bedford’s oldest homes.

Oak Cottage, pictured above, is just one of the homes on the tour. The four other are all in downtown, walking distance from the Bower Art Center where refreshments will be served.

“Well it gives people ideas of things that they can do in their own home, not some big gargantuous display, but just small activities and designs,” said Betsy Klein, Co-chair of the Bedford Home Tours.

The tour is this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time for 15 dollars at the Bower Art Center, Arthur’s Jewelry, Bedford Welcome Center, Goose Creek Studio, Moneta General Store, Moneta Farm and Garden, and Aylor’s Farm Supplies in Forest.

You can also purchase a ticket on the day of the event for 20 dollars.
