Lynchburg, Va. Once believed to be full of crime, downtown Lynchburg is now a popular spot for housing. An increase in restaurants and businesses have made it a more desirable place to live. It appeals to students, young professionals and even those looking to downsize their living space. One property manager says she hardly has vacancies.
"I see a lot of people coming downtown. I get probably about 30 to 40 new calls a week for someone looking for something downtown," says Sharon Lester with the Aluts Management Group.
