GALAX, Va. (WDBJ7) Some of bluegrass music's most well know artists are in Galax this weekend remembering the life of a young musician.
Crews started setting up for HoustonFest at Felts Park in Galax Wednesday.
The Galax Volunteer Fire Department gave us a birds eye view of the area where thousands of people are expected this weekend.
Dozens of concerts on four stages are scheduled starting Friday. Jerry Douglas and The Earls of Leicester are headlining the weekend concerts.
"This is our seventh year and each year it continues to grow and we have this small army of volunteers that work year around to make all of this come together," said Debbie Robinson, the executive director of HoustonFest.
The music festival is in memory of Houston Caldwell, an 18 year old who made an impact in the community.
Money raised goes to the Fire Department and supports music education.
