Investigators: Man who was shot Tuesday night in Henry Co. is not cooperating with deputies

HENRY CO., Va. (WDBJ7) A man who was shot Tuesday night in Henry County is not cooperating with investigators, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies say 33-year-old Lewis Preston was shot around 9 p.m. Wednesday at Northview Gardens Apartments on Stultz Road in the Martinsville area. Preston was found in the parking lot and had multiple gunshot wounds.

He was flown to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital and had surgery. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Investigators say Preston is being uncooperative with the investigation, and the identity of the suspect is unknown.
