MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) A Tennessee judge has ordered wrestler Jerry "The King" Lawler and his fiancee to stay away from one another following their arrest on domestic violence charges.
The Commercial Appeal reports that the order was among the bond conditions set Monday for the 66-year-old wrestler and Lauryn McBride, his 27-year-old bride-to-be.
The two were arrested at Lawler's East Memphis home Thursday and charged with domestic assault after police could not determine the primary aggressor.
McBride accused Lawler of hitting her in the head and pushing her against a stove during an argument, according to a police affidavit. Lawler told officers McBride was drunk, scratched him, threw a candle at him and kicked him in the groin when he tried to prevent her from leaving the house.
