Kevin Dresser: "I'm looking at a chance to go home"

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Several reports started surfacing on Saturday, saying Virginia Tech Head Wrestling Coach, Kevin Dresser, had already agreed to become the head coach at Iowa State. But on Sunday, Dresser said that while the opportunity is there for him, an official decision has yet to be made. That decision will be made known by Monday, and it's one that Dresser says he's had to grapple with.

"This place is incredible, incredible," said Dresser. "But I'm a quirky guy, and I have goals, and I'm not saying that Virginia Tech's not one of my goals, but I'm looking at a chance to go home. My mother lives 20 minutes from-- my brother lives 20 minutes from Iowa State. I haven't gotten to spend a lot of time with my mother in the last couple of years, so that's a factor in my decision. There are very few jobs I would ever, ever consider, but that's probably one of the two jobs I would consider."

#5 Virginia Tech defeated #6 Nebraska, 22-15, to end the regular season Sunday night in Cassell Coliseum.
