Kroger brings online grocery ordering, curbside pickup to Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Grocery shoppers in Lynchburg can now order online and have food delivered to their car.

Kroger has started offering Clicklist at its store on Timberlake Road. Customers can choose from any one of more than 40,000 items on the Kroger website.

Groceries are hand-selected by an employee and delivered to the customer's vehicle.

"I have four kids at home, so it's very convenient for me to pull up and let them load my groceries," said Amy Smith, a customer who tried the Clicklist service at Kroger Friday. "I think it's absolutely fabulous."

Orders can be any size, but you can't buy alcohol, tobacco, gift cards or prescription drugs through the service. It costs $4.95, but the first three trips are free.

Clicklist was introduced in the Roanoke Valley earlier this year at Kroger's Bonsack location.
