Launch Place invests $200K into new Danville business

DANVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) A new company is coming to Danville that could help local farmers! provides agricultural-based businesses with automated data tracking for crops and livestock.

They received a $200,000 investment from the Launch Place. officials say their product can help farms, golf courses, and possibly even home gardeners.

"Everybody is resource constrained, so you could save money on your labor, you could save money on water or energy, and you can save money on fertilizer, which margins are tight in the Ag-space, so we think that will help," says CEO, Tom Rump.

The Launch Place chose because of their focus on technology and the benefit they can bring to local farmers. hopes to bring several jobs to the area.
