LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ7) Saturday marks the start of Historic Garden Week.
And in Lexington, they’ll be having their house and garden tour from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The tour's theme is “Porches and Patios,” and visitors will get to stop by five special houses and a church meditation garden.
“Everything from a house that was built in 1821 and has about two centuries of history, all the way to a more modern home that was built in 2004 and is very open and inviting," Garden Tour Chair Beth Coleman said. "So we’re very happy about the variety of homes we have this year.”
Advance tickets are $25. You can get them at the Garden Week website www.vagardenweek.org.
Same day tickets are $30. You can find those Saturday at the Lexington Visitor Center, The R.E. Lee Memorial Episcopal Church Parish Hall, and the tour properties at 110 W. Preston Street, 516 S. Main Street, and 607 S. Main Street.
