LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ7) A Lexington church is putting together cleanup buckets for hurricane victims.

Lexington’s Trinity United Methodist Church is asking anyone interested to help them put together the buckets containing cleaning supplies as part of a larger effort to help out.

“We’ll send them to our denomination’s relief agency, called UMCOR," explains Rev. Joe Cailles, Pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. "And UMCOR will distribute them to families and communities in need free of charge for as long as their needed.”

They hope to receive at least a couple of dozen kits on Saturday, the 16th, when they'll be collecting all day. After that, the kits get sent on to the national organization.
