Lexington dedicates new clock

LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ7) They closed Main Street in Lexington for a ceremony Wednesday afternoon.

With the snip of red, white and blue ribbons, city officials took ceremonial possession of a clock given to Lexington by local businessman Tom Bradshaw.

“It worked out great, since Mr. Bradshaw owns the building," Mayor Frank Friedman said. "It made it very, very simple because having his permission to tie it into the sidewalk and make it much more accessible for the citizens of Lexington is a win, win, win with his and his wife’s great generosity.”

The clock is a modern copy of an 1880s design.
