Lexington gets ready for first 'Grub Crawl'

LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ7) Lexington will be hosting it’s very first “Grub Crawl” Wednesday night.
Four local restaurants will be hosting a progressive dinner, where 50 customers in two groups will move from restaurant to restaurant, enjoy one course of the evening meal at each.

“Lexington is really blessed with some fabulous restaurants and some fabulously talented people in its kitchens, and we want the community here to get out and experience what we have to offer,” says David Groce, general manager at The Georges, which includes Haywood's, one of the restaurants participating.

Also on the menu are the Bistro on Main Street, the Red Hen and the Southern Inn.

Unfortunately for most, the tickets sold out quickly – there’s even a waiting list – but don’t worry. They say this is just the first of a series of grub crawls in coming months.
