Lexington minigolf holds spot for a future children's museum

LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ7) A group in Lexington is raising money for a new children's museum.

The plan is to have it in a long-empty business location in the south part of the city.

In the meantime, the entrepreneurs who renovated the building have opened a mini golf course to draw families and get people used to a kid-friendly activity in the location.

"Whenever they decide that they're ready to take the space over, we'll vacate the minigolf on their behalf," says Gavin Fox, Managing Partner of the entrepreneurs. "But there is no particular start or stop at this point. We will go until they're ready to take it over."

The building was chosen to give the museum a good location at the lowest possible cost.
