Lexington tour to show little seen locations

LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ7) You can see some secret parts of Lexington Saturday.

The Upstairs and Underground self-guided tour will take you into places that you may have wondered about when in town, but never got to see.

“Some of them are private residences that aren’t just normally open to the public," says Stephanie Wilkinson, Director of Main Street Lexington. "We have a Masonic lodge that people don’t usually get to see the inside of. Some of them are commercial spaces. Some of them are being used right now, and some of them are kind of waiting for somebody’s vision to reuse them. So it’s a really interesting mix.”

The tour is of 13 properties, and runs from 1 to 4 Saturday.

Advance tickets for the tour are $20 and are available on the Main Street Lexington website, www.mainstreetlexington.org. On Saturday, they cost $25, and can be purchased at 41 S. Main Street in Lexington.
