READY Roanoke Valley is a new formal partnership. It brings Craig, Botetourt, and Roanoke Counties together as well as both Salem and Roanoke Cities under one regional umbrella. The goal is to cut down on redundancies and push the same message.

"We all have a common goal, the common goal is to keep our citizens safe," Roanoke County Fire and Rescue Community Outreach Coordinator Brian Clingenpeel said. "When a disaster strikes such as a flood, a flood is a perfect example, a flood knows no boundaries between Salem and the city of Roanoke and Roanoke County, it's going to affect all of us."

READY Roanoke Valley says its Facebook Page is the best place to find information about what's going on.
