LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) -- Children usually look for Santa to come down the chimney, but for some, those gifts came straight to their front doors.

Mammoth Crown music production, a Lynchburg entertainment group, went around to several neighborhoods on Christmas day to deliver toys.

Stephan Brown, a member of the music group says they bought the toys from Target and loaded up a rented U-Haul truck to deliver the toys to hundreds of children in the Birchwood, Dearington, Langveiw, Millwood, Burton Creek and College Hill neighborhoods.

Now in their third year, the group says they do it to inspire love and to help anyone who may be less fortunate. Just to give back to the community, to help teach one, reach one … let other people know we care about them that there’s other people out here that care about them just trying to help out," said Brown.

The group raises money to buy the toys from events they host throughout the year.
