Longtime Lynchburg librarian Lynn Dodge has died

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) A leader who managed Lynchburg's library system for almost 40 years is being remembered.

Lynn Dodge died Tuesday, according to her longtime friends and co-workers.

Dodge was librarian of the Lynchburg Public Library system from 1974 until her retirement in 2013. A story room addition to the library, named in Dodge's honor, was dedicated in 2015.

A service to celebrate Dodge's life will be held from noon until 2 PM Saturday at Westminster Canterbury in Lynchburg.
