SUNDAY EVENING FORECAST The weather pattern looks to remain active through much of the week ahead as a stubborn frontal system doesn't move much.
Most areas will remain dry, but a few showers remain possible along the VA/NC border before midnight. Skies will be mostly cloudy with lows dropping into the mid to upper 60s west and near 70 to the east.
As a system approaches from the west, showers will move in as early as sunrise. Monday will be a dreary day with cloudy skies and periods of showers and a few storms. Temps will be cool and only warm into the 70s.
Tuesday will be active as well with a few showers and storms possible. The driest period this week will likely be Tuesday night and Wednesday before better rain chances return to end the week. Highs will be cool to begin the week in the 70s, but gradually return to the mid to upper 80s.
