LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) The Lynchburg Police Department and city court have outgrown their current facilities.
Both say they have no room to expand. Boxes and shelves line hallways in both buildings because they’ve run out of storage space.
While steps are being taken to move to a larger building, it could take some time.
“We’re in the midst of a space needs assessment that’s being done by two architectural firms to try and get an estimate on what our space needs are and from there they can provide us with a rough estimate of what that cost would be," Major Ryan Zuidema said.
That estimate should be announced in the coming weeks.
