Lynchburg Police Department to hold retirement ceremony for K-9 diagnosed with bone cancer

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) The Lynchburg Police Department will hold a retirement ceremony for a K-9 who was recently diagnosed with bone cancer.

Agar has served the Lynchburg Police Department since September 2011.

The ceremony is at 9 a.m. Monday at 805 Court Street.

Agar is described as eager and loyal.

The police department says Agar will be greatly missed.
