LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Lynchburg business leaders are trying to capitalize on the growing craft beer industry.

Leaders with the Lyncburg Regional Business Alliance and its partner organizations are in Washington D.C. at the Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo.

People attending the conference are watching a video, produced by the business alliance, which highlights the Lynchburg area's assets.

The effort is designed to encourage craft brewers and suppliers to think about creating jobs in our region.

"Our goal is to tell the Lynchburg region's story, which is water, workforce, beautiful mountains, and a culture that enjoys the taste and flavor of beer," explained Megan Lucas, chief economic development officer for the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance.

Attending the Craft Brewers conference is part of a larger effort by the business alliance to market our region across the United States and attract new employers.
