Lynchburg business owners team up to offer law enforcement free uniform cleaning

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Two Lynchburg business owners are throwing their support behind law enforcement with a special promotion.

For the next two weeks, any police officer, sheriff's deputy, or security guard can get their uniform cleaned for free at Kwik as a Wink Cleaners in Fort Hill Village.

The business has always offered law enforcement a discount. Andre Whitehead, a customer who owns a media production company, donated $500 to make the dry cleaning service free.

"The police departments have a tough job and, though there may be a few incidents where bad things may happen, we can't paint with a broad brush," Whitehead told WDBJ7.

"They do so much for us and, without them, there would just be chaos," Kwik As A Wink Owner, Marc Deyerle, said of law enforcement.

Kwik as a Wink is willing to extend its offer of free dry cleaning for law enforcement if more donations come in to support the effort.
