LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) A Lynchburg man is being held in jail on charges of taking indecent liberties with children, after police say he sent obscene literature to a 12-year-old girl in Connecticut.

Ryan Alexander Mullin, 20, was arrested Wednesday. Lynchburg police say they started investigating him last week, after being contacted by Connecticut State Police.

In addition to an indecent liberties charge, Mullin is also facing a count of using communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving
children.

Mullin is being held at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail Authority’s Lynchburg Adult Detention Center without bond.
