Lynchburg man arrested in relation to shooting

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) A Lynchburg man was arrested Wednesday in relation to a shooting on Monday, according to the Amherst County Sheriff’s Office.

Eurico Farmer, 27, was charged with attempted malicious wounding, using a firearm in the commission of a felony and possessing a firearm by a felon in relation to a shooting.

Deputies responded to the Best Value Inn and Suites in Madison Heights on Monday around 6 p.m. for a report of someone being shot. When deputies and investigators got to the scene, they could not find a suspect or victim.

On Wednesday, investigators found a 27-year-old male victim who Farmer was acquaintances with. The victim suffered injuries, but didn’t get medical help.

Farmer was taken into custody by the Lynchburg Police Department around 2 p.m. on Wednesday. He is being held in the Lynchburg Adult Detention Center without bond.
