Lynchburg police seek suspects in overnight shooting that critically hurt two men

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) Lynchburg police are investigating an overnight shooting that critically injured two men.

It happened on the 1400 block of Tenbury Drive. Officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired at 1:05 a.m. on Thursday.

When they arrived, police found two men, ages 20 and 21, on the ground in front of a townhouse with multiple gunshot wounds. Both were taken to Lynchburg General Hospital and are in critical condition.

Witnesses told police there were two male shooters. They were seen running from the area possibly toward Ashbourne Drive. Neither has been arrested.

Officers and detectives will be patrolling and canvasing neighborhoods to speak with community members.
