Man arrested for impersonating police officer in Radford

RADFORD, Va. (WDBJ7) The Radford City Police Department arrested a man accused of impersonating a police officer.

Christopher Kuehn, 20, tried to stop an off duty Radford City Police Officer in his personal vehicle near the Green Hill Apartment Complex on Friday.

The officer says Kuehn’s 2014 black Chevy Camaro activated blue and red lights in the front windshield, prompting him to pull over.

The impersonating vehicle quickly sped away down New River Road.
After informing Radford City Police, the driver of the vehicle was found and arrested.

Kuehn is being held at the New River Valley Regional Jail under a $1,000 bond.

The Radford City Police Department warns citizens who are not sure if the vehicle stopping them is a police vehicle to call 911 and travel to a well-populated area before pulling over.
