Lynchburg man arrested, two people taken hospital following malicious wounding incident

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) -- A man was arrested after two people were sent to the hospital following a malicious wounding incident in Lynchburg Thursday night.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, officers responded to the 3400 block of Campbell Avenue at around 9:40 p.m. Thursday after receiving a report of a malicious wounding incident.

When officers arrived to the scene, a 56-year-old man was taken to the hospital by medics where he is receiving treatment for multiple stab wounds he received during a fight. Officers learned that a 55-year-old took themselves to the hospital where that individual was treated for a "single laceration to the arm," police said.

Officers located and arrested Quentin Andra Jones, 30, of Lynchburg in connection with the malicious wounding incident.

Jones was taken to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail where he is being held on a felony charge of aggravated malicious wounding and a felony charge of malicious wounding.
