UPDATE: Apartment complex releases statement after injured man found in Blacksburg dumpster

BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ7) The apartment complex where a man was found hurt in a dumpster Tuesday night has released a statement about the incident.

The man was found around 6:11 p.m. at the Windsor Hills Apartment Complex, which is on Ascot Lane.

A spokesperson for the apartment complex says police indicated to them that “this appears to be an incident in which no one else was involved and poses no risk to others.”

The spokesperson for Windsor Hills Apartment Complex says a friend of the resident contacted police after being unable to locate the person.

Windsor Hills said they are “working with the university to provide resources to the individual’s friend.”

Police say the man is alive, and was flown to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He is in serious condition.

Blacksburg police are investigating after a man was found hurt in a dumpster Tuesday night.
