UPDATE: Third man arrested in connection with homicide

MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) -- UPDATE:

Martinsville Police announced a third person has been arrested in connection to a homicide on May 13.

Corey Johnson, 33, was arrested for the murder of Sean Goddard. He’s charged with first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, and possession of a firearm, along with a slew of other charges.

Johnson is in the Henry County Jail without bail.

This case is still under investigation, and anyone with additional information is asked to contact Sergeant Ratcliffe at 276-226-0218, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 276-63-CRIME.

UPDATE:

According to Martinsville Police, investigators received information about the possible location of Brandon Thomas and Adrian Watkins in Roanoke.

The US Marshals Fugitive Force and Roanoke Police Department were able to arrest both men without incident.

Thomas and Watkins are being held without bail in Roanoke and arrangements are being made to transport them back to Martinsville City Jail.

The incident remains under investigation.

According to Police, the victim of the Askin Street shooting died from his injuries.

As a result of Goddard's death, additional charges have been added to the list of warrants out for Thomas and Watkins.

Brandon Tarall Thomas, 30, of Martinsville is wanted for 1st degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Murder, Attempt 1st Degree Murder, Shoot a Firearm into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in the Commission of a Felony, posses Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Discharging a Firearm in a Street Resulting in Bodily Injury to Another, Reckless Handling of a Firearm Resulting in Bodily Injury to Another, Brandishing a Firearm after having been previously convicted of such.

Adrian Eugene Watkins, 27, of Basset is wanted for 1st Degree Murder, Conspiracy to Commit 1st Degree Murder, Attempt 1st Degree Murder, Malicious Wounding, Shoot a firearm into an occupied dwelling, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Discharging a Firearm in a Street Resulting in Bodily Injury to Another, Reckless Handling of a Firearm Resulting in Bodily Injury to Another.

Martinsville Police seek information on the whereabouts of two men wanted in connection with a Sunday morning shooting.

Attempted first-degree murder warrants have been issued for Brandon Tarall Thomas, 30, of Martinsville and Adrian Eugene Watkins, 27, of Bassett.

Police say Thomas is also wanted on charges of Shooting a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling, Possessing a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Discharging a Firearm in a Street Resulting in Bodily Injury to another, Reckless Handling of a Firearm and Brandishing a Firearm after police say he was previously convicted of such.

Police say Watkins is also wanted for Malicious Wounding, Shooting a Firearm into an Occupied Dwelling, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony, Discharging a Firearm in a Street Resulting in Bodily Injury to Another, and Reckless Handling of a Firearm.

Authorities say both men are considered armed and dangerous.

An Axton man was hospitalized following a shooting Sunday morning in Martinsville.

Police say Sean Demetrius Goddard, Jr., 20, was a victim in a shooting that occurred in the 1000 block of Askin Street. Goddard, Jr. was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
