Man in stable condition after crash in Lynchburg Saturday

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ7)— According to the Lynchburg Police Department, Timothy Scott Brooks, 46, of Lynchburg is in stable condition after crashing his Jeep Wrangler in the 1700 block of Wards Ferry Road around 3 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Brooks was driving his 1994 Jeep Wrangler westbound on Wards Ferry Road with it ran off the roadway and overturned. Brooks was the only person inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.

Brooks was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, police said. Brooks is in stable condition.

Wards Ferry Road was partially closed for a few hours Saturday while police investigated.

The Lynchburg Police Department is still investigating and charges are pending.
