MARTINSVILLE, Va. (WDBJ7) A couple of Martinsville Police Department officers got a big surprise today.

While walking through the municipal building parking lot, Sgts Lane Clark and Michael Harris heard a noise coming from a car. When they opened the hood, they found a kitten inside!

They located the owner of the vehicle and found the cat in the engine compartment.

Despite being shaken up and covered in oil and grease, “Buick,” as they named it, is doing great.

She has been taken to the Martinsville Henry County SPCA for a full check up, and the officers may have already found a forever home for Buick.
